Lethbridge is bisected by the Oldman River, creating valley parkland with scenic coulees and a breathtaking view of the CP Rail High Level Bridge – the highest and longest viaduct bridge construction in the world. More than 70 parks and 200 kilometers of walking and running trails create an opportunity for you to get out and explore. You can also enjoy the outdoors at one of our championship golf courses, award-winning Japanese gardens and the unique urban escape at our nature centre located just minutes from downtown.

In fact, our walkable downtown is filled with rich culture and unique arts and shopping opportunities along with a variety of local cuisine for you to savour. Lethbridge also boasts two modern post-secondary institutions which add to the vibrant campus culture of this community.

Getting Here

Lethbridge is located in the southern portion of the western province of Alberta, Canada and is the centre of a trading area that serves approximately 275,000 people in Alberta, British Columbia and the State of Montana.

Located only one hour north of the Alberta-Montana border, Lethbridge is closer to the U.S. market than any other city in Alberta. Lethbridge is also easily accessible to major hubs across Western Canada by road and air. Our proximity to the Foothills of the Rocky Mountains also places us within an hour’s drive to spectacular national parks, UNESCO World Heritage sites and other major attractions.


By Air:
Direct Flights are available with Air Canada to the Lethbridge Airport from Calgary and with Integra Air from Edmonton. 
By Bus: Bus transportation options include Greyhound and Red Arrow from Lethbridge to Calgary with connections to Red Deer, Edmonton and Fort McMurray.
By Car: Transportation options include major highway connections including AB-2 (Queen Elizabeth II Hwy) and Highway #1 (TransCanada).
