Lethbridge College adds millions of dollars to the southern Alberta economy

Lethbridge - Nearly half a billion dollars. That’s the amount Lethbridge College and its students add to the local economy. Those same students will also have a billion dollar effect on Alberta’s economy based on their income during their working lives.

Lethbridge - Economic Development Lethbridge (EDL) recently conducted an annual survey to identify major employers in Lethbridge and determine which sectors are represented. The 2013 survey identified 47 organizations in Lethbridge that each employ more than 100 people. Combined, these businesses and organizations employ more than 21,000 people in Lethbridge, which is approximately 42.5% of the employed workforce.
