2012 EDAC / RBC Financial Group Economic Development Achievement of the Year Award Administered by the Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC)
The Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC) is Canada’s National organization of Economic Development Professionals, representing every province across Canada with 1,000 + members. The Associations mission is to enhance the professional competence of Economic Development Professionals and ensure placement of qualified people in the field of Economic Development, to advance Economic Development as a distinct recognized and self-governing profession and to contribute to Canada’s well-being.
On behalf of EDAC and our Corporate Partner RBC Financial Group, we are pleased to provide this award program as a means to honour the evolving excellence in community driven economic development projects across Canada. We assess the submitted projects on degree of originality, involvement of community partners, effectiveness of the delivery mechanism, and attainment of program goals and objectives. This year’s submissions were some of our best yet!
During the Economic Developers Association of Canada’s 44th National Economic Development Conference, Economic Development Lethbridge, Alberta was recognized for its exceptional project. Winning the “2012 EDAC / RBC Financial Group Economic Development Achievement of The Year Award” with their submission entitled “tecconnect - An Alberta centre for new commerce”. Congratulations Economic Development Lethbridge!
